Following a concerted effort by Ray's sister Elaine, Byline for the Dead is now being stocked at the Tiedtke's Coffee Shop in Maumee, Ohio. Along with home-brewed coffee, Tiedtke's sells books by local authors and titles that are about or set in Toledo. Tiedtke's Department Store, formerly a fixture in downtown Toledo until it closed in the 1970s and burned down in 1975, was famous for it's specialist coffee ground on site. The history of Tiedtke's is featured in Byline for the Dead, so it's fitting that this is the first place that Byline is stocked on physical bookshelves!
